The other main reason it will likely not happen...
I don't see Indiana, Wash. St., Colorado, Utah, Duke, Vandy, Wake Forest, etc., etc. jumping for joy over no G5 or FCS games. Can you imagine Colorado removing UMass, CSU and Hawai'i from their schedule and replacing them with Oklahoma St, Georgia and Pittsburgh. These schools would get buried and never see the light of day.
