I've been told there is not a translation for "cousin" in the Tongan
language so essentially their view of qualifies as a "cousin" is much more broad than most cultures.

Apparently the aunt and uncle thing is similar. They basically consider any older relative an uncle or aunt where as most cultures consider a parents sibling an aunt or uncle.
