Probably. It's a pretty easy call. WR usually check with the ref anyway.
Often times when a wide out lines up, he'll look over to the line judge just to make sure he's on the line where he needs to be. If a wide out doesn't do that, and the line judge is looking straight down the line of scrimmage, it's pretty easy to see that the WR is in the backfield.
