It has always been the most anticipated day of the year for me.
The game always got me as fired up as an adult as Christmas did as a child. It was an event I waited for all year and almost nothing was more important. My best and worst football memories have come from that game. So I get what you are saying. But at this point I have zero trust in Bronco Mendenhall. HE simply can't get it done. BYU is extremely lucky to even be 3-6 against Utah. He doesn't care enough about the game...at least as much as Whittingham seems to care. I know going in game that BYU will lose. It's just how it is these days. I said in 2011 that BYU will not win another game as long as Whitt and Bronco are still coaching and I believe that. So...for me, let the game die. BYU isn't competitive anymore and it does a ton of damage to lose every year. When Bronco or Whitt are gone, then pick it up again, but for now, I'm happy about the break. Two less guaranteed L's for our team.
