TL;DR: CFB attendance is down all over the map. Not a bad thing for schools at present , as most money currently comes from TV deals. Could be a bad long-term issue if current students don't attend games, as they likely won't become involved as alumni (especially if they don't contribute to the athletic funds of the university). Schools are doing things to create a better game-day atmosphere.
