These days if anyone is at home they can likely take a picture and email
The ticket to you. They really only need the bar code.
If that isn't possible, I'm sure this isn't the first time the ticket office has contended with this. There will probably be a fee for reissuing, but I am sure if he can show proof that he holds the seats they can reissue.
