I am a little torn on the official booing.
They didn't do a good job. Even so, I would boo a bad call but not the indivuals after the game. The general problem in the college football that makes me want to boo it is the lack of fair play and a desire to get it right. There are few other places where you could have blatant policies ignoring the conflicts of interest the individuals have in making judgements. Silly that officials are conference employees. Silly that the playoff committee is made up of people whos pocket book is directly linked to the decision of who they select. These things help fuel the ire towards the officials and college footballs way of determining a pecking order other than the play on the field. Pre-season rankings determined by coaches is really funny. I don't have the answers, but I know from my own personal experience, that you can't violate conflict of interest basics and expect anyone to trust you.
