Like Bronco, I'm not too concerned about the personal foul penalties because it means the team is playing through the whistle and that they're being aggressive. I'd like to see better control to avoid costly penalties that are keeping other teams in the game, but it's not as if our players are stomping on people's throats, targeting their knees on cheap shots, or starting outright fights; they're playing football with an aggressive attitude and a swagger that - frankly - is needed to be a top-of-the-country defense.

I think they need to be in better control for the purpose of limiting penalty yards, but they're not doing anything that other teams/players don't do every week in the P5 conferences. (I know you're saying that BYU should be "above all that," but it's hard to have it both ways - go out and rip someone's head off on defense, but don't do it in an overly-aggressive way!)

I'm enjoying the ride, I'm thrilled to see the team winning and overcoming their own mistakes, and I'm hopeful that they'll rein in the penalties to become even more efficient in winning in the future.
