So I live in southern Idaho. A 4-hour trek from Provo. I used to have season tickets, as recent as last season. But even then I pick 1-2 games a year to go to. And lately, I've been attending more road than home games. I find the atmosphere and game-day experience better at road games. I've been to Boise, Notre Dame and Utah State in recent years and had a great game-day experience at each.
And now I have a high definition projector that we watch games on with a 9-foot by 5-foot screen. It's awesome, a better view than the stadium and you're not too hot or too cold temperature-wise. So it's tough for me to spend $200 to drive down, eat, etc, for every game when I can have a great experience at home.
My 2 cents as an out-of-stater.
