need to win. I don't agree with that fully.

I think if all you want is to finish the season in the top 25 somewhere and go to your assigned bowl game then, yeah, we just need to win enough games to do that. However, if we want to accomplish something significant like get invited to a NY6 bowl game or some day make it into the playoffs then we can't afford to become stagnant in the polls or get leap frogged by teams like Miss St (who vaulted from the "also receiving votes" to get ahead of us with thier stylish win.

Because we don't have any big name/ranked opponents left on our schedule, eeking out wins vs mediocre teams isn't going to keep the buzz on BYU going in the national media. We need to have big wins and keep the buzz going that way. Winning ugly will keep us ranked but won't get us where we want to be by season's end (ranked high enough to be in the playoff and NY6 bowl conversation)
