The reality, which is ironic, is that the great ESPN deal has actually made it
harder to fill the stadium. When I was growing up most games were not available on television, road or home. Then channel 5 started broadcasting a lot of games and KBYU did replays. Still, watching a standard definition game on local tv on a pretty marginal tv set wasn't much of a draw.

But watching the game on HD 72 inch television, especially when the nose bleed seats were selling at 40 bucks a pop early this year, will always be an issue for every school in the country.

I love going to games and will keep encouraging that. But there needs to be something done to fill the upper endzone seats other than charging 40 bucks for them and thinking that will get it done.

I still think they should take the hardest 4000 seats to fill every game and sell them for 5 bucks. Get the scouts to the games like they used to.
