So I turn on TV. Wife is complaining that since I upgraded Dish for football we don't have Hallmark and so it's not recording Frasier and Everybody Loves Raymond.

It's sitting on Lifetime network.

So here I am going through and deleting timers and finding alternate channels for her shows. In the background some show about teen pageants is playing. Kim something or other Holy Psychos! The leaders, the parents, etc. are wacko! These poor girls is all I could think. The leader lady even looks scary with some unnatural eye lenses.

The next show comes on and is on now called Dance Moms. It's even worse!

Is that real life? Are these kids really being subjected to this kind of craziness?

I'm well aware of pressures of boys sports. I'm aware of military training and extreme pressures both physical and mental. (Though I've never experienced them)

But holy cow the level of just crazy psychosis. Critiques of these teen girls. What in the heck! I can't believe its real.

Channel changed and a promise to not let my daughter fall into that craziness.
