It would not be winning games that hinged on a incorrectly called fumble, a phantom holding call that cost us the game, two missed 35 yard field goals etc. In those games were BYU won close ones - in two of them BYU had a comfortable lead till Utah's luck train started rolling. Generally things like turnovers even out but in the past four games Utah is +22 (or something like that) in TO margin. If they did that to all teams they played or if BYU was a turnover machine it would be different. But neither are true. Utah has benefitted from crazy luck the past few years against BYU and still barely won.
Not only that - look at all the big rivalry games like the Red River Rivalry or Michigan/OSU. Runs like Utah is on are the norm for rivalries - not the exception.
