I did the same thing in high school against Jerome High School in Idaho. No, that was not me hitting Taysom, but I was told to blow up the kicker off the opening kick off. I never thought once if it was a cheap shot or not, I just did it and boy did he get blasted. Of course it's easy to do when you are not looking and someone throws their whole body into you running as fast as they can.
In retrospect it was a dirty play, but I was too naive and dumb to think about that.
Parenthetically, I played for Burley High School against Taysom's brother, Jordan when he was at Bighland. Taysom comes across as a really nice guy. His brother came across as vicious beast. We played baseball against him and my buddy accidentally plunked him with what could not have been more than a 73 mph fastball. Jordan took two steps toward him and I thought my buddy, then about 5'9" and 140 (Ding!), was going to get killed, but then Hill thought twice about it and jogged to first. We laugh about it now, but I'll be the peed down both legs at the time.
