Give any explanation as to why everyone stayed sucking. Could be that having Cespedes there loosened the guys up, or have them confidence to swing away since they had the HR derby champ on their team, or whatever. Like dchandle said, there are intangibles that you can't really measure, and the timing is too midi of a coincidence for me to think it had nothing to do with the trade.
