BYU Football existed prior to 1970. It was way before my fandom as well, but I can still recognize that DSORB is not a new color for BYU historically. In fact, BYU has more time wearing DSORB (or a color closer to it than Royal) than they do wearing Royal. I love the dark blue, but don't side with Aggies saying we stole the color from them. It's our color. We own it. Aggies can own it too as can Penn State. We can all call the colors different names and they may be slightly different shades, but it is a great color that fans love to wear and multiple teams can and will sport it.
