consistently underperform our own capabilities. I'm not talking about an undefeated season, I'm only talking about beating the teams that we are more talented than at the very least. John Wooden teaches that if both teams prepare and execute to the highest level then the more talented team will usually win. Which is why he preaches against setting goals of winning games/championships as it is out of your control. The problem I have with our team is that we lose against teams that are less talented which indicates that we didn't prepare hard enough or do everything we could to acheive the "peace of mind" that Wooden speaks of. That is my issue.
