I think, should hope, that even former players would have substantially greater
insight into the nature of a coach then armchair fans who've mostly never even met the guy.
So he was coached by Bronco when Bronco was winning? Well, when were YOU coached by Bronco … ever?
Most of coaching happens away from the cameras, and it's very hard to disentangle from the recordings what parts of wins or losses are due to coaching, players mistakes, or just bad luck. Only the people on the field really know. People who used to be on the team are the next most knowledgeable, I'd say.
