My wife wants to get some binoculars so I started looking around and was blown away by the price variance and types that exist. I started looking at some Nikon options, specifically their Monarch series, and I've been reading some reviews and they seem like a great option (Nikon Monarch 5). Does anyone here have any decent experience with binoculars? Should I stay away from Nikon or are they considered a good option? Or is there another brand that should be considered, in a similar price range, that is better than what I might find with Nikon?
