And masking problems that loses made more visible to the large part of the
fan base that either couldn't or refused to see them when BYU was winning. The same problems that have been routine issues for several years but have often been overshadowed by great QBs (Beck, Hall) and weak opponents. Problems that surface against great opposition or when there are key injuries.

Personally, I don't mind having a rough year if that allows the AD and coaching staff to get to the root of these persistent shortcomings and make changes that will benefit the program long-term. Here's to hoping they use the opportunity to make positive change instead of continuing to hide behind the guise of having a perfect system/scheme where "All is well in Zion" except player execution and performance.
