It almost feels like an old B-movie at stages because it soaks up so much air time with the gore and heinousness of violence rather than advancing the story. I really enjoyed the first couple of seasons and I continue to watch. I do like how it seems they are advancing the story further by putting them back on the run with some in pursuit, but is it really necessary to escalate the gore every season?

Homeland is my current favorite show.
