The fact is that Bronco has won 70% of his games over a decade. Most schools can only dream of that.

I believe what he is doing is what Tom Holmoe and the Board of Trustee's want. Wasn't it the consensus, even on this board, that his predessor had gone the opposite route and it had caused all kinds of problems? Remember the turmoil on the team and kids being dismissed from school? He's winning a lot more that not, players are doing well academically, and is running a very clean program. In my opinion the way he handles the players minimizes off-the-field problems with the players and when they do occur the players mostly respond well.

If Taysom hadn't gotten injured, let along a host of other starters, we could very well still be undefeated and on our way to a New Year's Day bowl - who knows for sure? With him and many of the offense and defensive starters returning next year and the schedule we have, NNC contention is not out of the question.

I personally don't believe that we can be a consistant elite team until we are part of a P5 conference. Once that happens we'll get more of the elite LDS and non-LDS talent (that socially fit BYU) in the recruiting process. Unfortunately, until that happens we're consigned to challenging at the top now and then as everything aligns just right.
