Consider this at the end of the year (including bowls) their regular season opponents combined for 54 total wins. BYU is only 7 games into their schedule (as are most of their opponents) and their 12 opponents this year have already notched 40 wins. If with approximately 60 games left BYU's 12 opponents don't squeak out another 14 wins you may be on to one season...

What are the odds with that though as so many of the teams (particularly the weaker ones on our schedule) are in the weaker part of their schedule (their conference games...).

Note also that 6 of those wins were from FCS teams against other FCS teams. BYU's FCS opponent has contributed zero wins to that total of 40 so far. So Hawaii's opponents (after all 12 games) had 48 FBS wins BYU 2014 already has 40...
