At least in an interim role. Bronco is offered the opportunity to stay on as DC. Bronco would likely leave of course, but this is more of a reassignment than a firing. It would allow Bronco to show that he can be "reassignment sound", as he asks his players to be.

I know this is a crazy, probably stupid idea. But would allow Holmoe a crack at managing the team while Bronco works his magic at DC, focusing entirely on the defense and stepping away from the podium, where he does most of his
damage. Holmoe is well connected at the ncaa/nfl level and hopefully would do a better job of finding qualified assistants.

Probably never going to happen, but an interesting thought given how painfully limited our HC candidate pool seems to be.
