You do not need wins to be courted, you need revenue potential. The end.
BYU's record is meaningless when determining candidacy for joining a conference. Where did this ridiculous idea come from?
Name one team in the last 3 years of shifting that was anything more than equal to a 3rd or 4th place or worse in the P5 conference that they were invited to join.

WVU?

Mizz?
Nebraska?
How much $$$ will BYU make a conference above what the conference is currently making. That. Is. All.
