had a littler of pups but one wasn't doing too well and it ended up dying. This was about the same time her mother was dying. She was a very loud, vocal person and I had the privilege of overhearing both phone calls she received (I couldn't avoid it) when she got the news that her puppy died and then later when her mom died. Guess which piece of news was more devastating to her? Yup, it was puppy's death.
