anywhere in that list a consecutive four year stretch of less than ten wins. I think we all understand that BYU will never be a perennial top 10 team. It is inexcusable though to think that we cannot put together a special season in four years. LaVell was a genius at this, he would have a great season followed by good seasons only to end up having another great season. The only exception to this rule is the last four years before he retired.

Bronco has not had a team finish in the top 25 in almost 5 years. And this season, may end up being our worst in this current four year skid. All I want as a BYU fan is to feel like we have the potential to have a great team. It doesn't need to happen every year or even every couple years but I don't think it's unreasonable to expect that we can finish in the top 25 consistently every three or four years. Unfortunately, bronco has not shown the ability to pull us out of this slump and make that hope a reality.reality.
