I think we are mostly on the same page, I'm not saying that we can't do better
than we are doing now. I think the opposite. I think BYU as a whole--academically and athletically is under performing. Its actually striking how similar Bronco's management of the football team mirrors the academic leadership at BYU. Basically they are doing an EXCELLENT job at mentoring and guiding young people, but are floating in mediocrity when it comes to performance 'on the field'. And it doesn't have to be that way--I think BYU can and should succeed at both.

For coaching, all I am saying is that I really don't see a better alternative if we fire Bronco. I'm with you, I would like to see a little pressure/accountability and hope that Bronco responds by taking the team to the next level. To me, there doesn't seem to a clear, proven person out there that can swoop in to replace Bronco and get things done--so we are left with the struggle: keep Bronco and probably remain average/good or risk sliding backward for the chance of being good/great.

I was merely stating that I think that there are good arguments for either side, without a clear way to go. So I'm opposed to setting up sides and fighting against each other in absolutes.
