The main difference is that Derik did have that 1996 year, and if Bronco had one of those types of years, the grumbling would not be the same because he would have bought himself more time and patience, because fans would see he had done it once.

Instead, Bronco has not had that special year yet, and it has been worse since 2010.

So comparatively speaking, 1996 is the trump card.
