D was aggressive at UConn. Less aggressive against Texas. Even less so in succession, with Houston and Virginia. The "soft" mentality, has caused this group, to lose aggressiveness. This is not a toughly coached, defense. It more and more (even with all the starters) was turned into a two hand touch, non aggressive approach, by Howell. Now with injuries, Bronco's tried to save the sinking ship. But, he doesn't have the talent on the front line, to do it. Due to his lack of recruiting D lineman, that can actually get pressure, instead of being potted plants on the line of scrimmage.
