I would want Bronco to be the mission president for any one of my children yet to serve missions. He is a good man and full of integrity. He managed to build the program up from the Crowton debacle. I think this past decade has had its moments. Now, it's time for a change. The Stephenson letter included nuggets of truth that shouldn't be thrown out with the bathwater of inaccuricies and immature emotions it contained. Notably:
1. BYU football is trending down
2. BYU is 3rd in state
3. BYU is losing a generation of fans.
BYU's facilities were built on the shoulders of the LaVell generation fan. Those same boosters are not happy at all. There is movement behind the scenes.
