..IMO young kids come to school with their HS ego, letterman jacket, newspaper clippings and dreams of greatness, only to be smacked down and told to get into line and receive limited reps in practice...as a punk freshman...This does little to develop talent...and if don't use it, you lose it...It appears to me that some of the SEC and Pac 12 do a very good job of intergrating freshmen into meaningful PT and keep their ego and confidence stoked while developing talent. I am sure the Mission rotation greatly impacts the BYU attitude in developing freshmen and establishing "Trust"...(IMO, Trust is established when the scholarship is offered!!!)

However, in fairness to Apo did have a good
freshman season, but he got his bell rung at Ole Miss and Texas...I mean clobbered and carted off...he has been gun shy ever since...He makes no effort to fight for the ball...I think the Heaps deal may play into his overall attitude.
