Can't speak as to you,but 1st 4 games we had "best speed ever, crazy wealth of
talent at WR, D secondary, Heisman hopeful QB runnin circles around Texas' 4&5 star recruits, bound to leave for NFL early etc etc" I didn't agree w much, if any of that, but a sig. talent gap is not the issue w losses to UCF, USU, UNR, Boise, or even Utah.

Not claiming overall team speed is equal or better, simply that BCS busters didn't do it w superior talent or speed(except maybe TCU was equal team speed-wise), but superior coaching and out-scheming. The ugliness we've witnessed last month or so is inferior coaching, preparation and team not being 100% all in, knowing their coaches have and will put them put them in a position to beat anybody, anytime. The psych advantage w college age guys is huge when they belee-dat.

And when they dont, you see the catastrophic failure that looks like a team completely capitulating, or having far less talent. It's a function of the coaching staff completely losing the hearts and minds of the players. Injuries had a small part in getting the avalanche under way, but those who believe that's the only factor have been either unwilling or unable to see the glaring warning signs along the way the last 5 yrs. sorry for the rant, I just think yer completely missing the point if you suddenly think we can only muster JV talent. Utah made a lot of mistakes last night, but one reason I've always liked KW is his teams never give up emotionally, and losing is utterly unacceptable to him and he's not afraid to get in his guys faces and tell em just how unacceptable it is. No moral victories, or cheesy lessons learned that will help mold young men's character. Losing is for losers, that's it. And I'm not inferring he doesn't care about character and life lessons. He just doesn't delude himself into thinking its anything other than losing. Failure.

I've never related to the CBers that have deluded themselves into thinking he's a bad guy who doesn't care about the big picture. That BM is more about the big picture and spirituality, so we can take that zoob comfort in our superiority despite the failure on the scoreboard.
