Ok I will just put this out there about Haws...
Haws is a great player... but trimming down is not the direction I would have thought Haws needed to go physically. This is my beef with the typical BYU basketball athlete.... they are usually way too thin for the physical play that many teams bring to the floor.


There is a book on Haws (and BYU in general) and that is to apply a healthy does of physical defense and he will struggle. Haws was plenty quick last year. More lean muscle would have been what I would have recommended for Haws to improve. This is part of what made Jimmer so good inside the 3 point line. He could handle physical play where Haws tends to wilt. Be prepared for a struggling Haws and a struggling BYU team unless there's another good option in the offense.
