How about instead of complianing - everyone donate!
Being an annual donor, I am tired of posts complaining about this facility or that facility. Complaints about the administration not spending money on facilities. Why can't BYU keep up with the NIU's, Houston's or most other schools? Most schools can tap into state funds, some tap into the P 5 funds, but MOST have budgets running in the red! This despite all of the revenue made available to them, they run budgets in the red.

Keep in mind, BYU operates two additional sports than does NIU.

Since we can't tap into state funds like Utah, nor can we tap into P 5 funds, that leaves donations. Keep in mind, KW is the highest paid state official. If Utah couldn't tap into the state funds, how much do you think KW and his assistants would be making?

BYU is one of very very few schools that operates within the "Black." I assume most of you would prefer BYU not run it's budget into the red? That leaves one solution - DONATE!

People complain expecting others to pay the bills. As donors we are asked to help with the Coaches Circle (a specific fund used to keep coaches at BYU), we are asked to generate funds for scholarships, and yes even facilities. How many of you realized that BYU's swim team had to use Provo High Schools facilities to practice diving and to hold diving competition. BYU didn't even have adequate facilities for this sport.

The administration has to monitor all sports to remain competitive in getting quality athletes and being able to support competition. I know you don't care about swimming or other Olympic sports. The athletes do and so does the administration.

So instead of complaining - just Donate!!!!!!!!!!

Go Cougars!!!!!!!!!!!!!
