Jazz may have been a victim of groupthink on the Kanter pick.....
It wasn't a great draft - basically outside of Kyrie, everyone knew there might not be an All-Star available. Kanter had a ton of question marks, but he was widely regarded to be on of the best three players available. In hindsight, it's easy to see that the smart thing to do would have been drafting Klay Thompson or Kawaii Leonard - but NOBODY thought either of those two guys was worthy of a top 5 pick. Frankly, when you look at the guys drafted just ahead of behind Enes, he's probably not as big a bust as some of the others

#2 Derrick Williams - Jazz were hoping he'd fall to the, but he probably a bigger bust than Enes
#4 Tristan Thompson - Looks like a career backup
#5 Jonas Valanciunas - Serviceable big man
#6 Jan Vessely - Out of the League
#7 Bismack Biyombo - Not good
#8 Brandon Knight - He's a decent player - you can make an argument that the Jazz should have picked him
#9 Kemba Walker - Same as above

So the answer is probably yes, Enes is a bust relative to his draft position, but its not like the Jazz missed out on a lot of better options.
