No, they went 10-10 in the PAC. They weren't a bubble team.
They went 11-1 in the easiest OOC schedule in the nation (literally).
Their one decent OOC win was BYU, from there it is a HUGE drop off to whichever is better between... Fresno St., UC Davis, or... Lamar???
In conference they had one good win against (25) UCLA. Other than that they beat up on the lower team in the PAC (or, you know, got taken into OT against Colorado).
In the talk leading up to Selection Sunday, anytime someone brought up the Utes it was to say - "On paper in the W/L column they look like they should make it, but they won't because their horrible OOC schedule has artificially inflated that W/L record."
