any other fireside. Smaller crowd than I would expect, but it was Halloween and final game of the season for a lot of HS football teams. There was no announcement about the fireside in my ward. They only brought 12-15 players. I didn't recognize any assistant coaches, but wouldn't know some of them if I saw them. They took questions from the audience. They said it was OK if the questions were football related. Most of the questions were asking for spiritual experiences from the players. I expected more football questions.
Bronco spoke last. I enjoyed hearing from him. He seemed much more comfortable in his skin than he comes across on TV. He said all the things you'd guess he would. He strongly an repeatedly emphasized his desire to win.
For me the bottom line is that I just don't see how conducting a one hour fireside close to the team hotel could be detrimental to the team's preparation.
