One thing that is annoying is that we're generally not appreciated.

I can work hours on an outage through weekends or holidays and all I'll hear is complaints that service isn't restored fast enough.
A group will belly ache about being inconvenienced and toe tap while I work through the night to give them what they need and then they'll immediately go completely dark when I ask for testers. Testing to verify that I've given them what they want is asking too much of them. It was important enough to deprive me of sleep, but not important enough for them to work with me.
