My wife is not really a fan of the movie A Christmas Story. I agree that it got kind of (ok, hugely) worn out but I love it. It's very nostalgic to me -- the snow, the bb gun (I got one for Christmas as a kid), the toy displays, electric trains, the mall, the leg lamp (ok, not really), etc.
