1. There is no Thanksgiving without Christmas. 2. If it weren't on Thursday,
thus demanding that Friday be a day off too, it would be nothing more than Memorial Day. 3. Thanksgiving is the advent of the Christmas season. Celebration of Christmas should start within proximity of Thanksgiving. A week or so before is fine. 4. Christmas music is mostly a choice. The stations simply obey consumer demand. Don't be angry with them. I do recommend tempering early Christmas music listening. Don't burn out before the big week. 5. TG is odd in that there are so many days off, and the only focal point is a kind-of-gross dinner.
