Neither side could ever possibly prove their stance definitively. So some, instead of arguing their opinion, resort to to snarky remarks and and veiled attacks on one's intelligence or character to prop themselves up and prove that they are "right".

This argument is on the same level as saying someone only supports Bronco because they have to sustain him like he is a prophet. Both are horrifically stupid arguments.
