My daughter and I had a great time as well
At halftime we decided to move closer, so we went down to the seats right behind the BYU bench. It had been a while since I had been that close to the team, and that was kind of fun.

Sure, the game was well out of hand, so the mood on the sideline was very relaxed. But the players still cheered Carter and Moore when they made good runs (and they were heckling the PA announcer when he kept saying "That was #34, Fred Warner, running the football." They also got excited about any big plays on defense.

Paul Lasike pretty much owned the spot in front of the heater in front of where we were sitting. Jordon Leslie was practicing punts into the net when the actual kickers weren't using it (this was long after he was done playing for the day). He took time out from that to smile for the camera when my daughter took a selfie with the team in the background.

We stayed and high-fived the players after the game. Like you, I was also impressed that several thanked us for being there and for staying to the end.

We had a great time.
