Let me explain. I have a friend who seems to be hung up on some "injustices" from his youth. And it seems to be holding him back from living his life now. So, without even knowing the details (whether or not these were real, or just "perceived" injustices), I was looking for something I could send him that could possibly help him, while being subtle enough to not offend him. Anything church related was out of the question. Once again, not sure of the details, but I believe some of the "mishaps" are church related, or at least related to programs/people in the church. Either way, he is completely turned off to the church, so I was looking for some other source that could possibly help him, or relate to him at least. Maybe a good self help book. Or an auto/biography. Perhaps even a compelling fictional account that would be relate-able. As I pondered in the I figured I would ask the omniscient collective that is CB and be able to find some recommendations. But then suddenly the answer came to me....

The book I first heard about here on CB. One that I'm sure most of us have seen mentioned and recommended. It seems like the perfect book for this situation, at least that I can think of. Though I'm sure you might be able to still suggest others, so please... feel free.

Anyways, thanks for recommending me this book in the first place, oh mighty CB. While I am a decent reader, I never really ventured into the non-fiction arena, so I don't know if I would have ever picked up on it without you.

P.S. That is one reason why I never ignore anyone. You never know when they might have a good recommendation/solution/answer to something, even if their posts in other categories bother you (I'm looking at you 7 who have me ignored for what I can only assume is my baseball/Dodgers talk, even though you can't/won't see this)
