I have never liked him as a point guard. Yes, he is probably the only guy that can reliably bring the ball up court now that Carlino is gone, but he doesn't create very well for other people either on the break or half court.
But his ability to slither to the rim from anywhere on the court is almost a once-in-a-generation skill at BYU. If he can be decent from the line, that ability to penetrate and score will paralyze opposing defenses just like it paralyzed SDSU at times last night. His rebounding is a bonus. Assuming good health and he sticks around next year, I would not be surprised if he averaged double digit rebounds.
