1. Chaminade is better than I thought they'd be. They are athletic and can shoot, and blocked quite a few shots as well.

2. Chase Fischer was on fire! His shot is sooo smooth. Great weapon to have. Also takes some pressure off of Haws. And he plays pretty smart.

3. Collinsworth is pretty quickly rounding into form. FT shooting has improved which is a big plus. Is doing a great job running the team and distributing the ball.

4. I love Anson Winder! He is so consistent. He plays great defense and scores enough to keep people honest. I feel very comfortable when he's on the floor.

5. It's going to be fun to watch the development of Isaac Neilson. Looks like a player with a ton of potential.

6. Kaufusi will make an impact this year (pun only sort of intended). He is learning a lot and will make good progress this year.

7. Halford looked very bad out there. When he and Winder are playing at the same time, I'd much rather have Winder handling the ball.

8. I keep hearing that Bartley has made significant strides since last season, but so far, I haven't seen much improvement.

9. Very good 2nd half by Haws. Didn't seem to force things much, but was efficient and played smart. I really think with some of the pieces he's got around him this year, he'll play more relaxed and will be a better player.

10. Speaking of the development of young players, it will be fun watching Toolson develop.

11. Having the opportunity to get a lot of players some game time will pay a lot of dividends as the season progresses. Hopefully, there will be a few games this season when Rose can clear his bench.

12. Aloha shirts the coaches wore last night and today were not bad. Like last night's better, but today's was OK.

13. The weather in Arizona right now is gorgeous, but the pictures of Maui sure look nice!
