Many coaches have a "wall up" philosophy. Hands straight up don't jump. NAte Austin does that. I'd rather see them jump with hands up. The other factor is blocking takes athletic ability and proximity. Nielsen and Austin aren't great athletes, and our guys play off shooters far enough that the can't block many. We struggled to guard man D vs. chaminade!
