But he could easily have a good career over there and make millions. Not in America. Travis Hansen probably wasn't going to make millions over here for quite some time. Went from min wage 1/3 of a million NBA to multiple big contracts in Europe. Not to mention he actually got on the floor. These guys just want to play the game. Money isn't everything when you're at the end of the bench.
Haws is missing some of the things Hansen had, but he's still not going to be a draft pick so unless he gets lucky like Davies, which is highly unlikely for his body and skill set, you don't really get to pick and choose which pales in comparison to which. Lots of Euro contracts look great when an NBA contract is non-existent.
So yeah, depends on who the discussion is about. It's likely he's not going to have a choice. It's only "much better to be in the league" if you can actually land a a job in the league. And having a min contract in the NBA is not better than some decent salaries in Europe. Depending on what you're capable of.
