We're not talking top athletes in the world here. Remember, I was talking about Travis Hansen here. All he wanted was to see the floor. Also talking about guys like Jimmer and Tyler Haws. The guy probably won't get drafted. We're not talking about these first round picks who ARE going to make millions in the NBA. This is all based on current assumptions about him, which are that he isn't on draft boards at all. Obviously he could shock everyone and make it on a team but I'm just sticking to expectations for the sake of the argument.

And yeah, even Jimmer wants to just play. I think at this point he knows he's not getting any big contracts, but he WAS at least a top 10 pick, NPOY, and played minutes for a few years, so he's not a nobody. If he's cool bouncing around not playing but picking up league minimums, ok. But I guarantee, because he's said it, that he just wants to get on that court. I know he's not cool with just hanging around just to hang around and get a check.

No way Hansen was approaching NBA minimum in Europe? Serious? What makes you guess that? He had multiple contracts over a million. His Moscow contract alone was a multi-million dollar one. Like 3 years 6-9 million. And yeah, he's not the rule, but just clarifying. You seem to think people are making WAY less over there. I'm sure plenty of guys are making decent money. Sure it's not all 10 million dollar contracts, but you're still fat stackin some sweet benjies AND actually seeing the floor instead of being the water boy.

I'm also not saying Haws should immediately consider it. Obviously you shoot for the NBA first. I'm just basing all of this on current projections for him. He can try to stick around and keep signing 10 day contracts with teams for a while. Maybe he makes one, maybe he doesn't. But considering his current stock, that's why people are suggesting Europe.
