As the APT (Advanced Persistent Threat) security guys at work have said - "It's
not the malware, viruses, etc that you get or thwart off that is dangerous. It's the ones that have hit everyone and that people don't realize they've been hit." There are lots of cases of people having been hit with malware several years ago that they never knew they had. It's a scary, dangerous world for any connected computing device. Nothing is safe - unless it is disconnected and turned off.
